Held at Art on Centre Gallery, it was a heartwarming outpouring of support with more than 50 people coming out to join in the celebration. A warm gathering of supporters in a lovely setting. Thanks to all who were there; and a special thanks to the owners of Art on Centre.

Marie was invited to present at the Florida Writers Association meeting in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Her presentation titled "Marketing Matters" covered the seven steps needed to "Getting Your Book Into Readers Hands". Marie entertained questions at the end of her presentation. There was a nice turnout for the event of over 40 local area writers, many of whom were already published.

Marie has taken on the role of President of the Amelia Island Book Festival (AIBF). The AIBF seeks to open up the world for people of all ages in our community by promoting and celebrating literacy through books. Its mission is to promote life-long learning though fostering an appreciation for books by providing quality events featuring authors in engaging venues.
